We’ve gone cuckoo for coconuts. According to my last count, there are a million and one coconut snacks on the market today. (And, yes, that’s official market data, ha.)
We’ve officially hit that time of year that every day ice cream requests have replaced the every day hot chocolate requests.
While there’s something to be said for sipping wine out of those big red keg cups in the summer, I admit I always feel a little fancy when my Albarino is an actual wine glass. Unfortunately, if you’re picnicking, glass isn’t going to cut it.
Just like snowflakes, no two moms are exactly alike. So it only follows that no two Mother’s Day brunch menus should be exactly alike either. In honor of Mother’s Day, I’ve composed three brunch menus that can be served as I’ve put them together—or mixed and matched to create a brunch as deliciously unique as your very own, like-no-other mama.
There’s an avalanche of recipe sites out there, and one of my personal favorites is about to become yours, too. Foodily (which appropriately stands for “Food, I Love You”) is a social recipe network combining a massive library of curated recipes (i.e., recipes you can trust) with your social network.
Cinco de Mayo is tomorrow, which means you still have time to get ready to throw a little fiesta in celebration of Mexican heritage and pride (and yummy food). So along with getting the ingredients for a Mexican dinner—including one of our delicious guacamole recipes—we’ve got the party decor and crafts you’ll need to really get the party started. I take lunchbox shopping _verrrrry_ seriously. I need a durable, reusable lunch pack for the kids that is insulated, looks great, is eco-friendly, and stays closed (so the leftover crumbs don’t take up residence in my car). Take it from a woman who just took on a thousand goldfish crackers wreaking havoc in the trunk: we’ve found a fabulous new option.
Well, what a perfect opportunity we have this week to try out many delicious guacamole recipes. I don’t know about you, but I’m taking the fact that Cinco de Mayo lands on a weekend this year as a sign.
Well, wasn’t I delighted to walk into my local bodega and see a brand new treat from Justin’s Organic Peanut Butter staring back at me from the counter. Okay, my thighs weren’t delighted, but I sure was.

Some of you may already know Jennifer Perillo, the food writer and recipe developer behind the wildly popular food blog In Jennie’s Kitchen. If you don’t, allow me to introduce you to one of the most talented and expressive bloggers—and now cookbook authors—this side of of your wifi.
Cooking’s my thing, but I’m in the mood to celebrate spring with some yummy cocktails, thank you very much! Seasonal sips are a fun, grown-up way to savor vibrant spring flavors as we coax the sun out of winter hiding.
